The Wirral Coastal Walk

The Wirral Coastal Walk, organised by the Rotary Clubs of Wirral, will return for its 41st year in 2027. This much-anticipated event has become a valued partner for your charity, offering you the opportunity to both enjoy the scenic coastline and raise money for your charity. As always, the Rotary Clubs are proud to facilitate this long-standing walk, which brings people together in celebration and fundraising.

This a fun way to fundraise together, whatever your age or ability. You can take part as an individual, as a family or as part of a team, and there are no age restrictions.

So, dust off those walking shoes and invite, enrol, persuade and cajole family and friends into joining you for a great day out whilst raising money for your favourite charity or good cause.

Event details

Date: Sunday 27th June 2027

Time: 8:30am to 10:30am at the Floral Pavilion

Start: Floral Pavilion, New Brighton

Finish: Wirral Country Park – Thurstaston Visitor Centre (latest finish 5pm)

Distance: Full distance 20 Kilometres with intermediate finishes at 6K (Leasowe Common) and 12K (Kings Gap)

Join us for the iconic Wirral Coastal Walk to support of Maggie’s on Sunday 7th June!

Gather your friends, family and colleagues and take on this much‑loved 20km walk along our beautiful Wirral coastline, while supporting Maggie’s to continue supporting people living with cancer across Merseyside & Cheshire.

The walk begins at the Floral Pavilion in New Brighton and follows a stunning route all the way to Thurstaston Country Park. Return transport back to the start line in New Brighton will be available if you need it. This is a great day out for all ages, and when you reach the finish, the Maggie’s team will be waiting to welcome you with refreshments and a big smile!
